Great Canadian Baking Caper – Dinner Theatre

The always popular dinner theatre returns in the fall with this hilarious whodunit spoof of the Great Canadian Baking Show. Mystery abounds during the taping of a popular amateur baking show. Detective Custard is on the case. Apparently, someone was trifling in a baker’s business and got their just desserts. Come meet up-and-coming bakers like Tara Misou, Graeme Brûlée and others.

 

Your 4-course meal includes: Appetizers, a wide array of salads, choice of chicken or beef with potatoes and vegetables and dessert selection. Coffee and tea is included. Cash bar with debit and credit available. Seating is at tables of 8.

Red Dirt Skinners

Described by Roots Music Canada as the Pink Floyd of folk music, the Red Dirt Skinners are multi-award winning, multi-instrumentalist husband/wife duo of Rob and Sarah Skinner. The first act in history to achieve accolades at both the British Blues and British Country Awards, the duo’s unique sound also won them folk/roots album of the year in several polls across the UK and North America and saw them nominated duo of the year at the International Acoustic Music Awards.

With male and female harmonies blending together as one voice and Sarah’s trademark soprano saxophone solos, you will be swept along by the refreshingly different sound of the Red Dirt Skinners.

If you like songs influenced by Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, Supertramp, Crosby Stills and Nash, David Bowie coupled with some epic storytelling, humour and heartfelt emotions, you’ll love a Red Dirt Skinners concert.

Disney’s Frozen JR. – Young Company Show

The SFT Young Company returns with the enchanting modern classic from Disney. Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Disney’s Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure and plenty of humour, Disney’s Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart.
