Stirling Festival Theatre invites applications for a Social Media Assistant
The Stirling Festival Theatre (SFT) has set as a goal for 2018 for the development of an aggressive social media campaign. The Social Media Assistant will assist the Marketing Co-ordinator to analyze the first six months of the digital media campaign, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and will work with the Co-ordinator to adjust strategies, develop greater social media impact and implement.
The position will report to the General Manager and the successful applicant will have previous education in media, marketing and/or advertising at a Community College or University. There will be weekly check in/supervision time to assist with finding the resources to successfully complete tasks and to monitor the status of the project. The Social Media Assistant will be oriented to the Health and Safety policies of the Stirling Festival Theatre.
This position is funded by the federal government’s Canada Summer Jobs (CJS) program. Their criteria outlines that the successful applicant must be aged 15 to 30 years old, who have been full-time students this past year and returning full-time to full time post-secondary education in the fall of 2018.

Work hours each day: Variable
Remuneration: $14/hour (less EI & CPP contributions, plus vacation pay)
Location: Elements of this job can be implemented from offsite; training and meetings will take place at Stirling Festival Theatre
