Rehearsals for Little Red at the Stirling Festival Theatre are well under way. Tickets are selling fast and some shows are coming close to selling out. You would be best to pick up yours soon. Milf Life Crisis and Stand Up, Stirling 2 were both huge successes and came very close to being sold out. Watch out for more comedy in 2018. Speaking of 2018, the brochure for next season will be in the mail soon. Keep an eye out for yours.
There is a lot of excitement coming to SFT in 2018. Grammy nominated country artist (and local favourites), The Wilkinsons are coming to Stirling on February 28, for two intimate and acoustic shows. This is sure to be a highlight of our season.
I am excited to announce that the February dinner theatre (Better Holmes and Gardens) will star two of SFT’s favourites, Debbie Collins and JP Baldwin as The Property Sisters (a humorous take on the Property Brothers). Laughter will ensue on February 9 and 10. Some other events early in our season include: Celtic Kitchen Party, a high energy Kingston band that specializes in east coast music. Have a drink, get up and dance or just sit back and enjoy the music (January 27th).
On March 24 and 25, the Burrell Upper Hall will be transformed into an Escape Room. You and a few of your friends have 45 minutes to unlock a series of puzzles to see if you can escape. The Burrell Hall will be converted into a high school prom after hours. Can you make it out?
On April 13 and 14, SFT presents a unique theatrical experience. Love Stories: Stirling is a lovely combination of local stories and music. Composer/performer Melissa Morris interviews married couples from the area and turns their stories into an unforgettable musical experience.
