SFT MEMBERS & SFT DONORS – What’s the Difference?

Whether you choose to become an SFT Member or an SFT Donor… or both, please know that your contribution will always make the Stirling Festival Theatre’s shows, programs and activities better for everyone.

Your membership and your donation helps to close the funding gap between ticket sales – that only covers 60% of our annual expenses – and the total cost of producing quality, year-round entertainment in a small village in Eastern Ontario.

Please consider contributing beyond purchasing tickets. It is your investment in Stirling Festival Theatre’s success now and in the future, as we move into our third decade of producing and presenting professional entertainment and theatre for young audiences.



As a Member of the Stirling Festival Theatre, you help to ensure that we have a thriving theatre in our community. Becoming a new Member, or renewing your annual membership, makes you part of the excitement of live theatre!

Your membership runs for a full calendar year. You will be reminded by email or by letter when your membership is about to expire so that you can renew in time and have your membership privileges continue. Under CRA legislation, we cannot issue charitable income tax receipts for memberships because of the tangible value you receive.

Membership has its privileges. For only $35 per year you receive all of these benefits:

  • Members Only Prices: Save as much as $5 per ticket on the regular price of most shows
  • Advance Ticket Purchasing: Pick your favourite seats before they go on sale to the general public
  • Member Newsletters: These will keep you updated with SFT shows, programmes and events. If you prefer not to receive these by email, we can always send them the ‘old fashioned way’!
  • FREE Ticket Exchange Privileges: Up to 8 hours before the performance (no exchange for non-members) allows you to select seats for other shows or a gift certificate; just give us a call
  • One Vote: At our Annual General Meeting in March of each year

Memberships must be purchased and renewed in person, or by contacting the Box Office by telephone with a credit card.


Since 1996, our Stirling Festival Theatre Donors have been the foundation that has made your theatre an attractive, comfortable and vibrant place where laughter and entertainment thrive in our community!

If you have previously donated to SFT, then you have been a part of the formidable donor force that has contributed in excess of $500,000 over the past 21 years to improve the Stirling Theatre building (built in 1927 as the Village’s Community Service Building) and its infrastructure including:

  • air conditioning systems
  • new washrooms
  • box office overhaul
  • private office
  • new auditorium seating
  • acoustic paneling
  • excavation of the orchestra pit
  • total rewiring of the complex
  • upgrades to the Eugene Burrell Hall.

Your donations can be made in a variety of ways:

  • In person during Box Office hours (cash, cheques payable to ‘Stirling Festival Theatre’, VISA and MasterCard)
  • By mail (cheques payable to ‘Stirling Festival Theatre’)
  • By e-transfer
  • Online when you purchase tickets; look for the Donation Link

Producer  $250 – $499

  • All of the above plus…
  • Invitation to a Meet & Greet for one of the year’s productions, meeting the cast and learning a little more about the production


Executive Producer  $500 – $999

  • All of the above plus…
  • Invitation to the ‘Producers’ Party’ – a cocktail party to be held sometime during the first two weeks of the Panto, with all the Producer Members, plus actors who may be able to attend, plus SFT Board members (date TBD depending on Eugene Burrell Hall availability)


Starring Role  $1,000 +

  • All of the above plus…
  • Back-stage tour of one of the productions with the Technical Director and/or Set Designer and/or Lighting Designer; further & complete details will be provided when show is determined
  • Invitation to our annual Volunteer and Sponsor Appreciation Event




By becoming an SFT Portrait Donor, you will not only support the ongoing renovations to the Eugene Burrell Hall as well as expanded activities in this intimate space, you will become a permanent part of all the special events and performances that will take place at the Stirling Theatre for generations to come.

For your targeted portrait donation of $250, we will create a unique sepia-toned portrait of you (or someone you wish to honour), a couple or a trio, based on the photo you supply as well as a tribute statement.


The Eugene Burrell Hall will feature approximately 100 portraits of our SFT friends and family, so don’t delay – once all the spaces are filled, they are filled forever!
