Since 1996, our Stirling Festival Theatre Donors have provided the foundation that has made your theatre an attractive, comfortable and vibrant place where you can enjoy laughter, listening to great music and celebrating local talent!

If you were an SFT donor in our early years, then you were a part of the force that contributed in excess of $500,000 to improve the Stirling Theatre building (built in 1927 as the Village’s Community Service Building) and to its infrastructure including:

  • Air conditioning systems
  • New washrooms
  • Box office reconfiguration
  • Artistic Director’s office upgrade
  • New auditorium seating
  • Acoustic paneling in theatre
  • Excavation of the orchestra pit
  • Total rewiring of the complex
  • Renovations and upgrades to the upper Eugene Burrell Hall

If you are inspired by what we do and if you want to continue to see quality live entertainment in your community, we hope you will consider making, or continuing, your donation.

We have 3 different campaigns from which to choose:

  1. Annual Donations  These donations are not targeted at a particular event or show, but help us in more ways than you know. Costumes (think of the Panto Dame who usually has at least 10 looks and lots of bling!), lighting and audio equipment, props, and the construction/painting of set pieces have all been supported by your previous donations.
  2. SFT Young Company  Donations targeted at the Stirling Festival Theatre Young Company greatly assist us in our production costs and in keeping our youth program free-of-charge with: no enrolment fee; no membership fee; and no fees for costumes.
  3. Stirling Theatre Building Fund  While the Township of Stirling-Rawdon owns the Stirling Theatre, the Stirling Festival Theatre is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of this community’s historic theatre complex. Built upon what our early donors have contributed, this vintage theatre continues to need your support. You can imagine the ongoing upgrades and repairs that our 96 year-old gem of a theatre complex requires. And in just 4 years, we shall be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Stirling Theatre with the goals of: a new marquee, new carpeting and upgrades to the auditorium and lobby!
