An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Stirling Festival Theatre Membership will take place on
Monday, August 26, 7:00 pm
Stirling Theatre – upstairs Eugene Burrell Hall
An Extraordinary General Meeting, commonly abbreviated as EGM, is a meeting of the members of an organization, shareholders of a company, or employees of an official body that occurs at an irregular time in order to deal with business matters that arise in between the Annual General Meeting.
This meeting is to:
- Elect members to the Board of the Stirling Festival Theatre
- Amend the By-Laws of the Stirling Festival Theatre so that the size of the Board shall be a minimum of three (3) members (to come in line with current provincial legislation) and a maximum of fifteen (15) members.
The Stirling Festival Theatre Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and oversight of the Stirling Festival Theatre and meets monthly in Stirling, 9-10 times per year. The Annual General Meeting is held every March.
It is important that as many SFT Members attend as possible. It would be helpful (but not essential) if you could please RSVP by email before Wednesday, August 21 to Board member Tammatha Denyes in order to help us prepare for this event.
To serve on our Board, individuals must be a current SFT Member for at least one year. Only SFT Members may vote at this meeting. For more information about Membership, click here.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
