THE CELTIC KITCHEN PARTY

Back by popular demand! After a hugely successful show last year, Kingston’s own band, The Celtic Kitchen Party, are back for two shows. Come kick off our 2019 season with one of the best Celtic/East Coast bands around. Last year’s show sold out with a long waiting list!

 

DRAGONS’ DEN OF DEATH – MURDER MYSTERY DINNER THEATRE

A young, hot shot entrepreneur turns up dead on the set of TV’s hottest business show. Detective Carumbo shows up to solve the case. Which one of the Dragon’s did it? Get your tickets to find out!

THE PAPER BAG PRINCESS: A MUSICAL

Based on the beloved story by Robert Munsch has been adapted into an engaging musical by Joe Slabe. This production, full of singing and live music will bring the cherished story of a feisty princess and ridiculous dragon to life for ages 3 and up.

 

CDHS JAZZ BAND
A Fundraiser in support of the Campbellford Memorial Hospital

Campbellford District High School’s (CDHS) music groups, among the very best in Canada, are back for their annual benefit concert – a show that has raised more than $20,000 over the years to support the Campbellford Memorial Hospital.The evening will feature amazing singers and musicians on tunes by artists ranging from Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin to Bruno Mars, Lukas Graham, and Busty and the Bass.

 

DOWNWARD-FACING BROAD
Featuring Deborah Kimmett and Blues Singer Kim Pollard

A comedic look at the frustrations, perils, and yes, even joys, of aging. Brilliant blues songs underscore the hilarious stand-up/storytelling/confessional about how it becomes a slippery slope once the senior’s discount kicks in! Kim Pollard provides a bluesy and soulful sound to underscore the action. Fun fact: Deborah and Kim grew up in Napanee!

 

DARK AND STORMY NIGHT – YOUNG COMPANY

A Young Company “Pick Your Plot” show. An expensive hockey card goes missing and Detective Sam Diamond is on the case. The search for the card takes everyone on an adventure through back alleys, flea markets and sport shows. How does it all end? Well… that’s up to you!

 

TRIBUTE TO BUDDY HOLLY – FEATURING ZACHARY STEVENSON

So you think you can’tdance?  Well, let SFT favourites Debbie Collins and J.P. Baldwin teach you some steps! Couples can learn the basics of ballroom dancing in a fun atmosphere with two talented teachers. Waltz over to the theatre and get your tickets. Don’t Paso Doble up this chance to dance! Space is limited and we know this event will sell out!

 

THE DECADES SHOW

Relive some of your favourite music from the Motown era (Jackson 5, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross) to Disco (Elton John, KC & The Sunshine Band) and Classic Rock (The Eagles, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley).  This tribute show features cast members of Belleville’s For The Love of a Song, with 7-time international award winner, singer/songwriter Andrew Martin performing hits from the 60s and 70s. Sing along and relive some of the best decades in music!

The upper Eugene Burrell Hall will be converted to an old mansion and your group will become police detectives. When you enter, you will find a body. In order to escape, you need to figure out three things: Who did it? In what room? With what weapon? Come join in on this unique experience…if you dare!

Come see Stirling’s own funny man, Dave Bush, in this hilarious comedy event. This multi-talented musician and jokester is making quite a name for himself and has been a starring attraction at the Havelock Country Jamboree. THE TEBWORTH BROTHERS

Stirling’s own Tebworth Brothers play a hometown show! Teenagers Marshal and Wyatt are already seasoned veterans of the Bluegrass scene and have been playing most of their lives. The Tebworths are three generations on stage with Dad (Rob) on upright bass and Poppa (Doug) on guitar. Join us for some local entertainment with a down home feel!

SONG SUNG BLUE: THE NEIL DIAMOND STORY

This audience-interactive performance stars the amazing Will Chalmers, who truly captures the look, voice and excitement of Neil Diamond in concert. His performance chronicles Diamond’s amazing career, from his earliest hits as a songwriter in New York to his musical peak in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Song highlights include: Solitary Man, Cracklin’ Rosie, Kentucky Woman, You Don’t Bring Me Flowers, I’m a Believer and, of course, Sweet Caroline!

 

STIRLING SILVER SCREEN FILM FESTIVAL

The first annual Stirling Silver Screen Film Festival, showcasing films from all over the world, is coming to Stirling! Each night showcases the works of professional and emerging filmmakers from around the world with a collection of original content and regional debuts. Come catch this amazing opportunity to see unique films and stay for the after party in the upper Eugene Burrell Hall and meet professionals in the film industry.

What do you do with your 8-12 year old theatre-lover before they head back to school in the Fall? Sign them up for SFT’s fun-filled week of Theatre Camp! Each day is filled with song, dance and improvisation as well as trips to the park, winding up with a Friday ‘Family and Friends Showcase’ on the Main Stage. Fun fact: Many SFT Young Company members started right here – in our Theatre Camps!

After two consecutive years of increasingly popular and raucous comedy nights, SFT’s Burrell Hall will once again be transformed into a comedy club, hosted by Panto favourite, Dan Curtis Thompson. Show up ready to laugh!  Stay tuned for the line-up.


LOCAL YOKELS – STIRLING M.I.L.L. FUNDRAISER(Musical Instrument Lending Library)

There is a ton of musical talent in Stirling and the surrounding area and we want to feature them here at the Stirling Theatre. The Stirling M.I.L.L. (Musical Instrument Lending Library), built on grassroots involvement and participation and volunteer contributions, lends musical instruments to local residents. A portion of ticket sales will go to support the Stirling M.I.L.L. and if you donate an instrument you will receive a free ticket. Some of our local youth who have benefited from the program will also perform!

 

SHREK THE MUSICAL – YOUNG COMPANY

WE WALK THE LINE – A TRIBUTE TO JOHNNY CASH

This hit after hit show is a true Johnny Cash experience that celebrates the music and life of ‘The Man In Black’ and his fun loving wife, June Carter. This concert covers the entire career of Johnny Cash from the 1950s at Sun Records to 2003 and includes Johnny’s biggest hits – Ring of Fire, Boy Named Sue, I Walk the Line, Folsom Prison Blues, Hurt and the famous duet with June Carter, Jackson.

Another world premiere here at the Stirling Festival Theatre! This funny and moving show will explore the world of competitive choirs with a cross-town rivalry, a punk rocker with a golden voice and some beautiful choral music sung by our talented Young Company members. With a mix of original songs and well-known standards, this show is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

 

LET’S ROCK ‘N’ ROLL WITH PETE PAQUETTE

For the first time ever, Pete Paquette, Canada’s premier and renowned Elvis tribute artist, leaves behind his blue suede shoes and takes the stage in this new and exciting show. One night only, join Pete and his band, The Rockin’ Royals Showband, for a night of music celebrating the hit songs of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

The 2019 Panto musical comedy is Mother Goose with J.P. Baldwin returning as our Dame in the title role!  Mother Goose is a writer and she has run out of ideas and calls on her Fairy Tale and Nursery Rhyme friends to help her. Come see if Mother can get her Goose back. Don’t miss this show or ‘your goose is cooked’!
