1. How do I buy tickets?
Tickets to events at the Stirling Festival Theatre (SFT) can be purchased by phone at (613) 395-2100,
Toll-Free at 1-877-312-1162 online at www.stirlingfestivaltheatre.com, or in person at the Box Office
at 41 West Front St. during regular box office hours.

2. What are your box office hours?
Normally, the box office is open Monday – Friday, from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays 9am to 1pm.

When we have evening or weekend shows, we extend the hours up until show time. If in doubt,
please call first!

3. Does my child need a ticket?
Yes. In respect for patron safety and comfort, every person entering the Theatre, regardless of age,
must have a ticket for the performance.

4. How old must children be before they may attend a performance?
Babes in arms are not permitted in the Theatre unless the event is specifically for children of nursery
school age or less. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minors will not be granted
admission to shows that the theatre has advertised as Adult Only, or considers inappropriate for minors
The SFT reserves the right to deny admission to or to remove a child and their accompanying parent
or guardian from the auditorium should the child conduct him/herself in a manner that disrupts the
experience of other patrons.

5. I did not receive/misplaced my tickets. What should I do?
Please contact the box office at (613) 395-2100 as soon as you discover the loss. Most times, the
tickets can simply be reprinted. If someone else arrives with a ticket to a seat claimed by you, we shall
do our best to make the appropriate decision based upon the circumstances.

6. What facilities do you have to accommodate people with disabilities or special needs?
The SFT is committed to providing superior service to all patrons and takes all reasonable measures to
accommodate guests with disabilities. Please alert the theatre of any special needs at the time of your
ticket purchase. We are wheelchair accessible in both the Theatre and the Upper Hall, but we require
advance notice to prepare those areas. At this time, we do not have an infrared hearing system, but the
acoustics in the theatre are excellent.

7. Where can I park?
There are several Municipal parking areas within a few minutes walk of the SFT, and St. Paul’s United
Church very generously allows theatre patrons to park in their Station St. lot unless a church function
is taking place at the same time. There is limited street parking, and we do ask patrons do be aware of
posted signs. Cars parked in residential areas may be tagged and/or towed if they are blocking
driveways (even partially), in bus loading zones, fire access routes or other restricted areas.

8. What time does the theatre open for performances?
The doors to the Theatre open 30 minutes before curtain.

9. What is your policy on late seating?
Our ushers use their discretion and heed the artists’ requests in seating patrons arriving late. They time
late seating to minimize any disruption to the experience of patrons who are already seated. The late
seating policy may vary from performance to performance.

10. What should I wear to the theatre?
Please dress appropriately to the event, the season and how you feel comfortable. Our patrons come
dressed in everything from jeans to eveningwear.

11. Can I take pictures during the show?
The use of cameras or recording devices of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes all 35mm,
video, digital, digital video and cellular phone devices.

12. Is there a smoking section in the theatre?
Smoking areas are located outside the facility; we do ask patrons not to smoke directly in front of the
main theatre doors.

13. Can I bring food and drink into the theatre?
The SFT does not allow patrons to bring any food or beverage into the theatre, with the exception of
bottled water or special accessibility circumstances.

14. Are there refreshments available?
Yes - our Upper Hall has a complete bar and concession service at intermission. We do not provide full
meals or sandwiches, but we do have ice cream, chips and seasonal snack foods.

15. Do you have a lost and found?
All lost and found items are taken to the box office and kept for several weeks. Due to space issues,
we must then either discard the items or donate them to a local charity.

16. What is your re-entry policy?
Re-entry policies vary from show to show. Always check with an usher before leaving the theatre for
any reason to ensure that you will be allowed to re-enter.

17. What if I can't make it to the show? Can I get a refund or exchange my tickets for another
date?
There are no refunds, but we can exchange your tickets up to 8 hours before the performance, for
either another performance, or for a Gift Certificate. A $5 fee will be charged for this service, as well as
any difference in ticket price. This service is free to SFT Members, so consider making a
tax-deductible donation today!

18. I'm ordering tickets online; can you mail them to a friend or relative's address?
No, we cannot. The mailing address on your order must match the billing address registered for the
credit card used. This is for your protection as well as ours.

19. Can someone else pick my tickets up at the box office for me?
Anyone collecting pre-purchased tickets at the box office must show the credit card with which the
tickets were purchased... Or a signed letter from the card-holder, quoting the card number, and
authorizing him to make the pick-up. This rule is to prevent fraudulent use of an improperly obtained
credit card number in any telephone or online transaction.

20. Will you reserve seats for me by email? I will pay when I collect the tickets.
No, sorry, we cannot do this. Tickets are not "reserved" until purchased. They cannot be held for you
against future payment.

21. I don't have a credit card. Where can I buy tickets for cash?
You can purchase tickets in person at our box office. We are located at 41 West Front St. in the heart
of Stirling. The box office is always open between 9:00 am and 5:00pm. Hours outside of that vary
depending on our show schedule.

22. Are your prices in US, or Canadian dollars?
All our quoted prices are in Canadian dollars. American money is currently accepted at par.
